3. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for the content you upload, including your resume and any job posting URLs. You agree not to upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on third-party rights. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
4. Subscription and Billing
ResumeIQ offers a free tier with limited analyses per month and a paid subscription plan. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, and content, is the property of ResumeIQ. Your uploaded content remains yours. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process it solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that using ResumeIQ will result in job offers, interviews, or any specific outcome. AI-generated suggestions are not a substitute for professional career advice.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResumeIQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
8. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Privacy Policy
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: resume files (PDF), job posting URLs, and email address if you create an account. We also collect usage data such as number of analyses performed.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your resume and job posting data is used solely to generate analysis results via AI. We do not store your resume files after analysis is complete. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. AI Processing
Resume analysis is powered by Anthropic's Claude API. Your uploaded content is sent to Anthropic's servers for processing in accordance with their privacy policy. We recommend not including sensitive personal information (such as social security numbers) in uploaded documents.
4. Data Retention
Resume files are processed in memory and not stored on our servers. Usage metadata (number of analyses) may be retained for billing purposes.
5. Cookies
We use minimal cookies necessary for the Service to function, such as session cookies. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
6. Your Rights

Refund Policy
1. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the paid features until the end of your current billing period. No further charges will be made after cancellation.
2. Refund Eligibility
We offer a full refund within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase if you are not satisfied with the Service. Refund requests must be submitted within this 7-day window.

4. Non-Refundable Cases
Refunds are not available for partial months of service, renewals after the 7-day initial period, or accounts found to be in violation of our Terms of Service.
